Jonathan Edwards was an American revivalist preacher, philosopher, and Congregationalist Protestant theologian. Like most of the Puritans, he held to the Reformed theology. His famous ‘Treatise on Religious Affections’ was written to describe his philosophy about the methods for conversion to Christianity. Edwards, most-known for his polarizing sermons, wanted to provide a clear and concise book for those seeking conversion. The book includes twelve ‘tests’ for the reader to measure if they were truly converted. This work is still popular today among modern evangelists. Writers such as John Piper often refer to this work in their ministry. This edition includes a portrait frontispiece of Jonathan Edwards. (The color image of the author we included on our website is NOT in the book.)
