Original calf binding. Light-to-medium shelf wear to extremities. Joints excellent. There is a period name inscription to the front free endpapers. Clean text block with trivial age toning. Overall, a VERY NICE COPY. First published in 1822.
John Eberle (1787 – 1838) was a well-known author of medical treatises of the era. He taught at newly formed Jefferson Medical College in Canonsburg, PA, which was established in 1824 by the later-famed Civil War Union General George McClellan. Eberle became the Chair of Physic at the college in 1825. He was part of the first graduating class in 1826, and, in, 1830 he moved to Cincinnati, where he taught and practiced.
