Description

Dandelion Wine (1975)

by Ray Bradbury

Hardcover. Published by Alfred A, Knopf, New York, 1975. Stated FIRST EDITION thus FIRST PRINTING of the 1975 reissue with a new introduction by the author. Original publisher’s green cloth in VERY GOOD+ condition in a NEAR FINE original, unclipped dust jacket. Secure binding. Slight bump to head and tail of spine. Some sunning to top edge of front and rear boards as well as top edge of text block. Bright, clean pages. Appears to be an unread copy. Jacket shows trivial chipping at the head, otherwise as clean as when it left the printer. A very nice COLLECTIBLE COPY. Preserved in a mylar dust jacket cover.

Ray Douglas Bradbury (1920 – 2012) was an American author and screenwriter. He worked in a variety of genres, including fantasy, science fiction, horror, and mystery fiction. Predominantly known for writing the iconic dystopian novel “Fahrenheit 451” (1953), and his science-fiction and horror-story collections, “The Martian Chronicles” (1950), “The Illustrated Man” (1951), and “I Sing the Body Electric” (1969), Bradbury was one of the most celebrated 20th and 21st century American writers. Upon his death in 2012, ‘The New York Times’ called Bradbury, "the writer most responsible for bringing modern science fiction into the literary mainstream.”
