Jean-Girard Lacuée, count of Cessac (1752 – 1841) was a French general and politician, peer of France and Minister for War under Napoleon I of France. This military encyclopedia was composed while Lacuee was second-lieutenant in the French military. It is full of articles concerning the art of war as well as military tactics, specifically aimed at officers. 17 incredible folding engravings of military forts, weapons, and battle tactics. A highly desirable first edition.
